Three Rivers

Edward John Morris Porter, age 98 of 55553 Resort Road, Three Rivers, MI died Friday, December 16, 2011 at his son’s home. He was born October 22, 1913 in Muskegon, MI to W.H. and Loretta A. (Hennsey) Porter. On July 21, 1934 he married Alice De Groat in Muskegon. He worked for Three Rivers Press and Master Craft in Kalamazoo. He was a member of the Centreville Seventh Day Adventist Church.

John is survived by three sons: Noel of Malotte, WA, Morris of New Market, VA and Stephen of Edmore, MI; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice, two children Evelyn and Doyle. He married Maria Carmen in 1995 and she survives.
