Union City Ruth Alice Baumgardner , age 83, of Union City passed away Tuesday. January 17, 2012 at the Laurels of Coldwater. Ruth was born on August 4, 1928 in Lima, Ohio to John Thompson and Wavealene( Mulinar) Thompson. She worked at the Foundry in Coldwater for many years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Baumgardner. Ruth is survived by her son, Reed Baumgardner and fiancé Darlene Rooy of Sherwood, MI., four grandsons, Mike and Matt Baumgardner, Jason Munyon and Jess Modert, several great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters.
