#9 Mark Howell 2012-05-18 17:08 Farewell, my dear cousin (who was more like a brother to me). I loved Robert and everything about him…his wonderful sense of humor, his quick wit, his outstanding personality, and his understanding of life and his fellow man. Robert had a hard life that included the loss of his mother at a very young age, and he ended up being raised (for the most part) by his grandparents, David and Molly Higgins. Robert loved racing cars (and working on them). And, when I moved from California back to Michigan in '96, I asked Robert if he'd drive my '74 Chevy Nova back for me (which he did). As far as I know, this was the only time that Robert was able to enjoy a cross-country journey. I know that he truly enjoyed making the trip, and I am so happy that I was able to help him enjoy making such a journey. Robert was a great human being with a wonderful soul. I can only say that I was happy to be a part of his family and his life. Thanks, Robert. I'll always love you. Your cousin Mark Howell Quote
