Union City

Linda Lu Bailey, age 63 of Union City, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

Linda was born on August 13, 1948 to Louise Esther Lake and was raised by her mother, John Philo and George Edwards. She graduated in 1967 from Union City High School and then pursued nursing studies and became a licensed practical nurse. Linda practiced nursing for a number of years. She was an active member of the Union City United Methodist Church.

Linda married Larry Bailey on September 1, 1979 in Union City. She is survived by her husband of 33 years. Also surviving are a daughter Jaime S. Bailey of Union City, two grandchildren, two brothers and five sisters.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Union City with Pastor Andy Baek and Pastor Robert Hughes officiating. A luncheon will be held following the service in the fellowship hall. Memorials may be directed to the family.
