Shaurya Ashish Verma passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at his home in Portage, Michigan after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. He was born July 7, 2003 in Sturgis, Michigan and was the child of Drs. Ashish Verma and Mauli Verma residing at 9721 Chambray, Portage, MI 49022. Surviving are his parents and a brother Arya Verma.

A Memorial Service will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30th at the Beacon Club across from the airport in Portage. Instead of flowers give in Shaurya's memoriy to the Children's Oncology Group.

His smile was priceless when we went to the Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary and he got to hold one of the alligator's. I will never forget when the owner and him challenged each other on the pronunciation regarding the reptiles. This was certainly his love along with his family.
